Overview
Tuakiri enables students, academics, alumni and researchers to get secure and seamless access to their computing resources and collaboration environments using one set of credentials granted by their home organisation. The home organisation provides the user with identity credentials and an authorisation process administered by the resource owner or administrator grants the user permission to the resource.

Tuakiri access federation services realise tangible benefits for research communities, research institutes and the higher education sector through ease of use, reduced complexity and costs. The federation's policies and rules enable trust relationships between research institutes and universities across New Zealand.
