Tuakiri enables students, academics, alumni and researchers to get secure and seamless access to their computing resources and collaboration environments using one set of credentials granted by their home organisation. The home organisation provides the user with identity credentials and an authorisation process administered by the resource owner or administrator grants the user permission to the resource.

Joining Tuakiri as an early adopter is free; the free service is available till 31 December 2011.

As an early adopter your institution will embrace new technology: Pilot Federation Service Release 1.0 from Tuakiri, New Zealand Access Federation, launched on the 27 June 2011.

Typically you will be an institution and/or a service provider to the higher education and research sectors with a desire to conceive and develop new methodologies and technologies. Your institution will join other institutions in New Zealand and globally as a trendsetter in the higher education and research sectors, driving innovation and knowledge sharing.

The institutions are required to follow and abide by:
